「忠告」という意味の advice は「数えられない名詞」です。数えられないから、１つ、２つ、３つ、たくさん、とか言えないわけです。だから、(4) an advice や (1) a bit of an advice のように an advice （１つのアドバイス）と数えていたり、(2) some piece of advices の advices というように「複数のアドバイス」と数えていたりするものは×になります。残った(3) a few words of advice は、a も -s もついてないので、つまり数えてないので、これが正解です。不可算名詞には、a / an や many がつかない。複数形の -s もつかない。だから、×an advice, ×advices もだめだということです。
※(2) some piece of advices は、some pieces of advice (= a few words of advice)とすれば正しい英語になります。
数えられるか数えられないかを判断するものさし（判断基準）のようなものがあればいいのですが、そのようなものはありません。だから覚えるしかないでしょう。
advice, behavior, conduct, damage, fun, harm, information, luck, news, nonsense, progress, weather, wisdom, work（仕事）, baggage, furniture, machinery, poetry, scenery, clothes, game（「猟の」獲物）, traffic, homework, housework はよく問われる数えられない名詞です。
