each other / one another は相互代名詞と呼ばれるもので、必ずその前に複数形の先行詞がないといけません。

しかし、問題文では、either of us となってしまっています。
Either of us has to go there.
のような文を見てもわかるとおり、これは単数扱いになります。
だから、one another は使えません。
There was too much noise for us to understand one another.
とするなら、合っています。
