先日、400問ほど追加された青山大の問題の中にあったものですね。今確認してみましたら、(2)you came(過去形)が正解になりますね。
wouldが動詞のように働いて、目的語の名詞節が「現在の実現困難な願望を表す」時、名詞節内に仮定法過去が使われることがある。と理解しておいてください。
【プログレッシブ英和中辞典のwouldの項目からの抜粋】
[動](他)((願望))((雅語))（願わくは）…であれ, …であればいいのに
・ I would (that) I were young again.
「もう一度若返ることができたらなあ」（▼現在ではwishを用いる）

仮定法現在・過去・過去完了が願望を表す文に中に現れる事がある。
(2)仮定法過去---wish/wouldなどの目的語になる名詞節で
Would that I had more courage!「私にもっと勇気があればいいのに」(文語体)
(would that = I wish)
ということです。通常はwouldが単独でwould(+that)SVの形で現れることはあまりなく、むしろ例文のようにratherを伴って would[had] rather (+that SV)のようになる場合が多い気はします。
ただし前メールで書きましたように、名詞節が仮定法過去(又は仮定法過去完了)ばかりではなく、仮定法現在も取る用法もあるのはあるようです。(googleなどでの検索でも現在形を使った例文の方が若干多い感じです) 私個人的には、(4)のyou comeでも正解のような気はしますが、、、、管理人さん、どうでしょうか？
