品詞の区別の問題なんですけど、和訳がわかりません。
Science is a method of studying the rules which govern the way in which things that we can observe and measure occur.
私の考えとしては、
Science is a method で文型が終わっていて（第２文型）
of studying the rulesが前置詞句。
the rules which govern the wayは、the rulesが先行詞でwhichが関係詞主格を表している。
こっからがいまいちわかりません。
the way in which things that we can observe and measure occur.
ｉｎ which が 前置詞＋関係詞ならば後ろは完全文が来るはずなのにthingｓだけですよね？（thatが関係代名詞目的挌だとして考えています。）
observe and measure occur.もよくわかりません。occurは動詞ですよね。三つを対等に結ぶならば、observe ， measure ａｎｄ occur. と結んでいるらば分かるのですが、、。
さっぱり分かりません。お願いします。和訳というより文法的に解説してください。
