(a)互いに意思疎通したいという衝動とそうする能力の発達こそが、我々を他のすべての動物と違う発展を遂げた主な要因だろう。
(b)積極性というよりは協力する能力によって、初期の形態の人類は他の猿という種族よりも優れたものとなり、協同作業には意思疎通が含まれていると、時代を先導する人類学者たちは現在考えている。
(c)そして協力したり、覚えた知識を伝えたり、計画を立てるたりすることによってのみ、人間はこの恐怖を支配することができ、恐怖の元を自分達だけの利益に変えることができるのだ。

ほとんど似たような訳になってしまいました、、
復習しなおします。
(b)：superiorityあたりのうまい訳出が思いつきませんでした。

(c):pass onで悩みました。
