■raw material は (原料)ということです。多分、raw で調べても、material で調べても、raw material が載っていると思いますよ。載っていなかったら、辞書を変えたほうがいいかもしません。ここはやはり「材料」ではまずいでしょう。
こういう単語は長文ではよく出てくるので覚えておいたほうがいいでしょう。以下の成句もよく出てくるものです。

>now thatは もう〜なので しか載っておりません。 例文では、now that the boy was five ,they had to think about which school to send him to. 少年が５歳になったので、彼らは学校の問題を考えなければならなかった。もうは、回りくどいので通例省きますか？
■「Now that 文, 文」の Now that は文字どおり「〜する今（現在）」というのが基本です。問題文の場合は入れたほうがいいでしょう。
